Beginner Yoga with Fatiha consists of four 90-minute workshops designed to meet the specific needs of students new to yoga. That being said, if you are not new to yoga and would like the opportunity to begin again, we guarantee you will learn something new.

Students will learn to listen to their body, distinguish between sensation and pain, use their breath to indicate their inner state, and do foundational yoga poses, including proper warm-up and mindful preparation for poses and safe transitions between poses.

 

Classes will be structured similarly, so you benefit from repetition. Since building a proper foundation for your unique body is important to your safety and proper alignment, we will have plenty of time for instruction and questions. 

BYC students with an active membership (monthly unlimited, autopsy, 10 or 50 class pack, receive 25% off. Please see the desk staff/teacher so the discount can be applied when registering.

In addition to learning the key elements of yoga, we will introduce you to a few simple poses in the Tadasana & Uttanasana family.

In addition to learning key elements in yoga, in this class, we will introduce you to Surya Namaskar, or what we call Sun Salutations
