Inversions 101 | Beginner's Guide
Beginner-friendly (No inversion experience required!)
Ready to flip your perspective and conquer your fear of going upside down? Join us for a fun, supportive, and step-by-step 2-hour workshop designed specifically for those curious about inversions but not sure where to start. You do not need to be able to hold a handstand to attend this workshop. If you can breathe and have a willingness to try, you are ready!
Workshop Breakdown
• The Warm-Up (30 Mins): Prep Your Body We begin with a targeted, dynamic flow to wake up your core, open your shoulders, and build stability in your wrists. You will learn how to activate the muscle groups needed to feel secure and weightless.
• The Breakdown (60 Mins): Step-by-Step Instruction We will demystify the alignment, safety, and mechanics of five or more foundational shapes. Learn how to build your pose from the ground up, use props effectively, and safely fall out of a pose if you lose your balance:
• Forearm Stand (Pincha Mayurasana): Building shoulder strength and balance on wide, stable base.
• Crow Pose: Your entry point into arm balances and finding your float.
• Headstand (Sirsasana): Finding your center and stacking your spine safely.
• Handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana): Overcoming fear using the wall for support.
• Shoulderstand (Sarvangasana): The "queen of poses" for learning to stack your weight safely using props.
• The Playtime & Lab (30 Mins): Free Practice & Individual Coaching The final half-hour is yours to explore! Use the wall, grab props, partner up, or try out your new skills with music playing. Your instructor will be moving around the room to offer personalized adjustments, spot you, and answer your specific questions.
