APRIL: SHIFTING FROM ROUTINE TO RHYTHM

In the hustle of daily life, we often fall into routines—structured, predictable, and sometimes a bit mechanical. While routines can provide stability, they can also feel rigid and disconnected from the natural flow of life. In yoga, we have the opportunity to shift from routine to rhythm, embracing a more organic and mindful approach to our practice.



Routine vs. Rhythm

A routine is something we do out of habit or obligation. It’s often fixed, and can become repetitive or uninspired. Rhythm, on the other hand, is about the ebb and flow—about moving with the natural pulse of the moment. It invites us to connect with our breath, to listen deeply to our bodies, and to let the practice unfold naturally rather than forcing it.

When we shift from routine to rhythm in our yoga practice, we stop "going through the motions" and instead start to feel our movement. We become more attuned to the subtle changes in our body, the deeper sensations, and the expansive qualities of each pose. We sync our movements with our breath, allowing the practice to be a dance rather than a task.



How to Shift from Routine to Rhythm in Yoga

  1. Slow Down and Breathe – Take a moment before your practice to focus on your breath. Let it guide you into the present moment. As you move through each pose, allow your breath to create space and flow.

  2. Listen to Your Body – Pay attention to how your body feels in each posture. Rather than rushing through your practice, take the time to explore and adjust. Let your body’s rhythm guide your movement.

  3. Let Go of Perfection – In rhythm, there’s no need for perfection. Trust that your practice will unfold as it should. Focus on the experience, not the outcome.

  4. Embrace the Flow – As you move from one pose to the next, feel the fluidity in your transitions. Allow your movements to become one with your breath, creating a seamless flow of energy and intention.


By shifting from routine to rhythm, we can cultivate a deeper connection to ourselves, our bodies, and the present moment. Yoga becomes less of a checklist and more of a creative, living expression.

As the Pink Moon graces the sky this April, join Catherine Walker and Leanne Molnar for a transformative yoga workshop designed to harness the energy of the full moon and the season of renewal. The Pink Moon, named for the blooming of pink wildflowers in the Northern Hemisphere, symbolizes new beginnings, growth, and the awakening of nature. This full moon is the perfect time to shed old patterns and embrace the fresh energy of spring, aligning with the blossoming of both the earth and our inner selves.

In this special workshop, we’ll begin with an invigorating yoga flow led by Catherine Walker, designed to energize and awaken your body. As we move through poses, we’ll focus on letting go of what no longer serves us, making space for new intentions to bloom. After the flow, we’ll settle into a calming sound bath led by Leanne Molnar, allowing the healing vibrations to help release tension and restore balance.

To close out the evening, enjoy a refreshing pink mocktail, a toast to new beginnings and the exciting opportunities the season brings. This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to reconnect with their body, set intentions for the season ahead, and celebrate the beauty of transformation under the glow of the Pink Moon.
